50 Cent is set to perform at Donald Trump Jr.'s members-only Washington, D.C. club on Friday (July 3) — two years after the rapper publicly said he turned down $3 million to appear at a Trump rally because he was "afraid of politics."
According to the Daily Beast, 50 Cent is scheduled to take the stage at Executive Branch, the Georgetown club co-owned by Trump Jr., investor Omeed Malik, and Christopher Buskirk of 1789 Capital, where founding memberships reportedly carry a $500,000 price tag.
In 2024, 50 Cent told The Breakfast Club he'd turned down $3 million to perform at Trump's Madison Square Garden rally.
"I'm afraid about politics. It's because when you do get involved in it, no matter how you feel, someone passionately disagrees with you," he said. He also pointed to Kanye West as a cautionary tale. "That's the formula for the confusion that sent Kanye to Japan. He said something about politics, and now he can only go to Japan."
A source with ties to Executive Branch told the Daily Beast that 50 Cent's booking follows previous hip-hop headliners at the club, including Busta Rhymes, Ja Rule, and Timbaland.
The scheduled performance is not the first time 50 Cent has shifted his position on Trump.
In 2019, he told the Daily Beast that Trump had offered him $500,000 to attend his first inauguration, which he declined, saying "every dollar is not a good dollar."
The following year, he publicly voiced support for Trump over tax policy before reversing course amid backlash, posting on social media: "F**k Trump, I never liked him."
Executive Branch has become a gathering place for Trump-world insiders. Reported members include White House A.I. adviser David Sacks, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, State Department Under Secretary Jacob Helberg, and crypto investors Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss.
The club hosted an afterparty in November following a White House visit by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, attended by Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins, FTC Chair Andrew Ferguson, Dr. Mehmet Oz, and Fox News hosts Bret Baier and Laura Ingraham, among others.
