A racist outburst inside an AutoZone in Lafayette, Colorado, is drawing backlash online after a viral video showed a white man shouting anti-Black and anti-Hispanic slurs, yelling “white power,” and making a Nazi salute inside the store.
The clip, which has circulated across social media, appears to show the man walk behind the counter and toward an employee while shouting slurs and challenging someone to fight. The video includes on-screen text, which explains that the incident happened at an AutoZone in Lafayette on March 14.
In the footage, the man can be heard using racial slurs directed at Black and Latino people before shouting, “F**k sp**s, homie. F**k n****rs, homie. What’s up, dawg?” he says at one point. “You wanna go, homeboy?! White power, homeboy!”
As he moves toward the exit, he appears to repeat the "white power" phrase and raises his arm in what looks like a Nazi salute. Two other people in the store are seen stepping in and telling him to leave.
The video also captures the man shouting about a missing wallet as employees continue trying to get him out of the store.
At this point, there is still no public explanation for what triggered the confrontation.
The clip gained more traction after it was reposted by online creators who track racist incidents, including TizzyEnt, whose video asking viewers to help identify the man helped push the story further across social media.
The reaction online has been swift. Some viewers focused on the danger of the man walking behind the counter while shouting slurs. Others pointed to the Nazi salute as a reminder that racist incidents in everyday public spaces are not isolated moments — they are part of a broader climate where open displays of white supremacist language continue to surface in stores, restaurants, and other routine settings.
