BIN Journalist Esther Dillard was honored with her second Gracies Award at the Alliance for Women in Media Foundation’s 50th Anniversary Gala in Beverly Hills, California.
The award recognized Esther’s compelling feature on Daughters Beyond Incarceration, a nonprofit helping girls maintain bonds with their incarcerated fathers. Her reporting offered a rare and emotional look at the toll incarceration takes on families and the power of father-daughter connection in the face of separation.
The Gracies celebrate outstanding media by, for, and about women. Esther first received the award for her acclaimed audio series Black, Autistic, and Safe, which examined how Black families navigate police encounters involving autistic children.
