A viral video showed a Black musician being heckled and harassed by a bystander while playing a public piano, sparking outrage online.
Camden Stewart, a London-based composer and classical pianist who's garnered national attention from sharing videos of his music, was interrupted during one of his recent performances by a heckler who hurled insults and profanities.
In a three-minute video titled "Did Not Expect This Today," a man yelled at Stewart as he was playing the public piano.
“Can you let someone else play, please?” the man shouted.
As Stewart continued to play, the heckler then shouted “F— you!”
The musician's performance drew applause and compliments from other spectators as the man continued his rant.
“Can you let someone else play, please? You’ve been playing for ages. It’s a public piano,” the man said.
“You’re a f—ing c—!” he continued. “F— you. Hope you die.”
Stewart's video garnered over a million views across social media and comments from viewers condemning the man's behavior and praising the musician's composure.
"Camden you handled that situation with grace. That man must be a miserable person," one social media user commented.
"Jealousy be killing them 😂 Brilliantly handled 💯," another person wrote.
